Tiles & Sanitary, Building Materials, Marble & Stone

Our TILE GLUE is a water-resistant tile adhesive designed for fixing tiles on walls and floors in both internal and external covered areas. It is a cementations powder consisting of cement, silica sand, lime, synthetic resin and special chemical additives formulated in a way to obtain a product with high workability and adhesion. The dry applied mortar has excellent resistance to water, weather changes and traffic. According to the Strength, Colour, and variety of applications, we have graded our TILE GLUES into the following :

  • Tile glue white

BOND TILE GLUE is for internal and covered external application for most types of ceramic tiles for dry and wet areas like bathrooms, kitchens, showers, and balconies, It can be used for all kinds of residential and commercial buildings. It is a general-purpose tile adhesive for fixing tiles on concrete substrates, floor screeds, cement plaster, renders, foam concrete, blocks and bricks. BOND TILE GLUE is used for bonding ceramic wall and floor tiles, mosaics, stone cladding, terrazzo, quarry tiles…etc.

Application Procedures

Surface preparation

The surface must be prepared thoroughly before commencing the application. All substrates must be structurally sound, stable, dry, and clean. Rough surfaces are to be evened or filled first with one of repairing products before setting. Building surfaces must be constructed to manufacturer’s recommendations and relevant building standards in force at tile of membrane application. Structurally unsound layers and surface contaminants are to be mechanically removed by abrasive blasting, blast tracking grinding or equivalent methods.

Mixing Instructions

Add ULTRA BOND TILE GLUE bag into a container of 4 ltr. (for 20 kg white adhesive) or 5 ltr. (for 25 kg grey adhesive) of clean water or and mix until a uniform lumps free consistency mix is achieved. For mixing use a slow speed mechanical mixer (200-300 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle. Allow product to settle for approximately 5 minutes then lightly re-stir before use. If the product is left undisturbed in external conditions is may thicken, therefore it is recommended to regularly stir during use.

Application Instruction

Before fixing tiles, ensure the backs of tiles are clean and free from dust. Saturate the concrete substrate with water prior to applying ULTRA BOND TILE GLUE, Select an appropriate notched trowel for selected tile size and ensure 100% coverage of adhesive is achieved. Once the tile is placed an even adhesive bed should be formed between substrate and tile back. This is particularly important in membrane surfaces, preventing empty voids between the sealed surface and tile backs. Spread ULTRA BOND adhesive evenly over the substrate using notch towel, the first pass with its smooth part and the second pass with the toothed part. While adhesive is in a wet state. Press and slide the tile at night angles to the notched line of the adhesive to ensure 100% coverage to tile backs. For large tiles with deep rear keys or patterns (e.g. quarry tiles, terracotta tiles etc) and in order to achieve higher bonding it is recommended to spread the adhesive to the minimum spacing of 2mm be left around each tile (depends on type and size of tile). Remove excess adhesive from tile surface and joints using damp cloth before the adhesive dry. Joints grouting between tiles may be recommended after 24 hours of tiling for walls and 48 hours of tiling for floors, be sure that recommendations

Ultra Bond Tile Glue

  • DO NOT allow tile adhesive to the skin prior to bedding tiles as this will compromise correct adhesion.
  • Tile type and size will determine bed thickness of adhesive. The glue should not be applied at a bed thickness of greater than 10mm or less than 1.5mm.
  • DO NOT use TILE GLUE on metal, fiberglass or nonabsorbing surfaces.
  • At high weather temperature, the working area should be covered and use cool mixing water.
  • In case of tiles with high porosity, it is recommended to moisten the back of the tile before fixing. Contact the Technical Department for assistance.
  • ULTRA BOND TILE GLUE does not require curing.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a dry and covered area away from direct sun light. Avoid off concrete floors. Do not store in humid or outdoor areas. Keep material protected from rainfall and avoid excess compaction. Shelf life is 12 months in the original unopened bag when the above conditions are met. Health u0026amp; Safety:

As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Provide adequate ventilation in working place to avoid inhalation of dust.
